FANCY GROWING THEIR SELF-CONFIDENCE?
We all want our children to dance through
life and Fancy Footwork can help develop the skills that help them every step
of the way, from developing deportment and confidence on the dance floor to
enjoying dance as a way of life for fun, fitness or at a vocational level.
Dance of course is a wonderful way to develop
fitness but also incredibly helpful for posture, spatial awareness and possibly
most importantly, body control and confidence.
Established for over 15 years, Fancy Footwork
is unique in providing a programme designed to give clear progression for boys
and girls aged from 18+ months to 18+ years. We even have classes for Mums too!
This means your children will learn with
teachers they recognise and have a rapport with from their earliest years. While they work in groups, we consider each
child an individual; we work with you to decide when your child is ready for
the next step.
Whether you’re looking for daytime, after
school, Saturday morning or holiday sessions, we have something to fit with
your family schedule.
MAKING THE FIRST STEPS, THE RIGHT STEPS?
Our carefully structured lessons – Preschool Move to Music, Ballet, Tap, Modern, and Boys Ballet – have been developed by Royal
Ballet-trained Principal, Lucy Clay.
Our classes provide the perfect foundation in
every dance discipline and while we pride ourselves on providing a fun,
creative atmosphere for our pupils, we also emphasise achievement, with the
option to study for Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) and Imperial Society of
Teachers of Dancing (ISTD) exams.
LEARNING WITH A GREAT TEACHING TEAM?
All our teachers are professionally trained dance teachers expert in coaching children. No matter which
of our teachers your child is with, you can be assured that their talent will
be nurtured to help them fulfill their potential, whatever their level.
PERFORMANCE FUN AND FRIENDSHIP?
Many of our students relish the chance to
perform. We provide many opportunities throughout the course of the year with
events in the local community and an enormously important and exciting show
case event, every two years.
No matter the size of the performance, when
the show is over there are treasured memories to take back to regular classes
where firm friendships are built in a wonderful escape from the daily routine.
