The joy of dance can be experienced through many different forms, and Fancy Footwork offers a broad range of options for different age groups throughout the week. Here is an introduction to our full list of classes.
[Please note, we respectfully ask for your understanding when you come to collect your child from a Fancy Footwork class. Since their personal safety is our prime concern, we always ensure every child is collected by a recognised parent or carer and this process can take a little time.]

Movement to Music |
Introduces young children (with the help or a parent or carer) to dance through imagination, music and mime in a fun, friendly atmosphere. They gain confidence and an understanding of working in a group, performing individually and the importance of taking turns. |
Ballet |
Offers both girls and boys an introduction to artistic and musical awareness, through self-discipline and careful placement of the body. |
Modern & Jazz |
A dynamic introduction to popular music, and the chance to learn moves worthy of the dance floor at any party. |
Musical Theatre |
A combination of dance, drama and singing which develops confidence and performance skills. The curriculum includes the chance to learn timeless musical hits from the West End and Broadway. |
Tap |
A comprehensive grounding that helps children to develop their sense of rhythm, co-ordination and musicality. |
2+ Movement to Music |
Children may wear what they like as long as it’s practical for class. Bare feet are essential since socks can be are slippery and dangerous. |

BALLET (GIRLS) |

Baby Ballet - Primary |
Pink leotard “Chloe” style with capped sleeves, RAD regulation skirt in pink, pink socks and
pink shoes. Elastic must be sewn across the instep of all ballet shoes to secure the shoe to
the foot. |
Grade 1 |
As above, but with short cross-over skirt and pink ballet tights. Made-to-measure character
skirt and character shoes also required. |
Grade 2/3 |
Grape sleeveless leotard with matching waist elastic and pink ballet tights. Made-to-measure
character skirt and character shoes also required. |
Grade 4/5 |
Maroon sleeveless leotard with matching waist elastic and pink ballet tights. Made-to-measure character skirt and character shoes also required. |
Grade 6 |
Navy blue faith leotard with matching waist elastic and pink ballet tights. Made to measure character skirt and character shoes required. Satin ballet shoes with ribbons.

Navy blue cotton shorts, white tee shirt, white socks and black ballet shoes. Elastic must be

Hair must be secured away from the face and off the neck (preferably in a bun).
