The joy of dance can be experienced through many different forms, and Fancy Footwork offers a broad range of options for different age groups throughout the week. Here is an introduction to our full list of classes.

[Please note, we respectfully ask for your understanding when you come to collect your child from a Fancy Footwork class. Since their personal safety is our prime concern, we always ensure every child is collected by a recognised parent or carer and this process can take a little time.]

Offers both girls and boys an introduction to artistic and musical awareness, through self-discipline and careful placement of the body.

A dynamic introduction to popular music, and the chance to learn moves worthy of the dance floor at any party.

A combination of dance, drama and singing which develops confidence and performance skills. The curriculum includes the chance to learn timeless musical hits from the West End and Broadway.

A comprehensive grounding that helps children to develop their sense of rhythm, co-ordination and musicality.

Girls may wear “Clara” the pink skirted dress with ballet shoes if they wish but they can also where a fairy outfit/dressing up skirt or any thing they feel comfortable in. If not wearing ballet shoes the children should have bare feet so not to slip. Layers are advisable as they can get hot during the class.
Boys may wear shorts and a tee shirt with ballet shoes or bare feet. Spiderman, batman and superman are also welcome. It is not ideal to wear jeans as this restricts movement of the legs.

Pink skirted leotard “Clara”, Pink x-over “Clara Wrap”, pink ballet tights (winter), pink ballet socks (summer), pink ballet shoes and hair in bunches, ponytail or up off the face and neck.

Lavender leotard “Ondine” with belt, Lavender x-over “Ondine wrap”, pink ballet tights,
Pink ballet shoes, Character Skirt and Character shoes. Hair in a bun, bunches or ponytail secured neatly off the face.

Grape sleeveless leotard with matching waist elastic and pink ballet tights. Character skirt and black character shoes. Hair in a bun.

Maroon sleeveless leotard with matching waist elastic and pink ballet tights. Character skirt and black character shoes. Hair in a bun.

Navy blue cotton shorts, white tee shirt, white socks and black ballet shoes. Elastic must be sewn across the instep of all ballet shoes to secure them to the foot.

Girls
Purple lycra leotard, black waist elastic, black cycling shorts, white ballet socks, black jazz shoes.
Hair in bunches/ponytail for the girls.
Optional Fancy Footwork jazz trousers, Fancy Footwork T-Shirt and Fancy Footwork fleece.
Boys
